Rob Prohaska (“Coach Pro”)
My name is Rob Prohaska—most people know me as Coach Pro. I am a Certified Executive Coach, Certified Life Coach, and Professional Counselor. Beyond my credentials, I am what everyone else on this planet is: an imperfect human being. And I’m perfectly comfortable with that.
My path here hasn’t been linear. I’ve spent time in the building trades, coached athletics at the high school, club, and collegiate levels, and worked for years as a Professional Counselor. I’m a husband and a dad. I’m also a product of the southwest side of Chicago—a place where identity was shaped by your local Catholic parish, the city department your parents worked for, or the labor union your family belonged to.
I was raised cheering for the White Sox in the summer and the Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls in the fall. I’ll choose a great thin-crust pizza over deep dish every time. I was told never to put ketchup on a Chicago-style hot dog—and if I’m being honest, I still do. Growing up in a city with incredible radio fueled a lifelong passion for music. I value my roots deeply, and those roots have absolutely influenced the direction my life and work have taken.
After several years as a Professional Counselor, I felt called to expand my reach—to increase my footprint and become a positive influence for people who themselves have the ability to influence many others. That calling led me into executive and life coaching.
Today, my focus is bringing executive wellness to a deeply personal level for each client I work with. I enjoy partnering with people from similar backgrounds, as well as learning from those whose experiences differ from my own. I consider it a privilege to work alongside successful individuals as they seek a new—or renewed—sense of self.
My work is rooted in honest, in-depth conversation. I ask difficult questions and create space for meaningful reflection. Like many high-achieving professionals, I understand how easy it is to lose yourself in ambition. I also recognize the guilt that can sometimes accompany success, particularly for those raised with middle-class values. That tension can create a quiet but powerful paradox—one that deserves attention rather than avoidance.
What I value most about this profession is the opportunity to connect with good people and walk alongside them as they pursue their personal and professional goals. I respect the courage it takes for clients to share personal experiences and explore vulnerability. My intention is to help simplify what often feels overwhelming—bringing clarity, balance, and understanding to complex challenges.
If you feel we may be a good fit, I invite you to connect with me. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about who I am. I look forward to learning about you.
Remember, worrying about your bottom line shouldn’t lead to rock bottom!
